Robert- I have a huge backstory and frontstory for him. He's part of a film idea I've had for a long while, and have been slowly developing over the past 5 years. It's hard to be dilgent and work outside of work, but hopefully I can get mocing on some animation tests soon!
Those are some snazzy brush styles you got there. I'm working on creating a small collection of brushes in photoshop. Its slow work, as I'm self taught and my method is more or less trial and error.
I don't draw at print resolution though, because the laptop heats up and makes noises that sound like its trying to eat itself.
Me Me! Awesome man.
ReplyDeleteAnimated? Nah.....lesse that mofo sculpted!
ReplyDeleteThe guantlet has been thrown down..
I'd like to see him animated. Is this a spur of the moment type of thing or do you have a back story for him?

Hi Sean. I have a question: do you draw you illustrations and comics at a print quality resolution even though if they are intended for screen?
ReplyDeleteI'm asking specifically of Through the Porthole.
cheers,
Curious fan
Ivan- Yeah I almost always draw at print resolution, and then just save out a copy at screen resolution to upload to the web.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought. Thanks Sean. I like your photoshop rendering technique a lot.
